How to check on the official register

The Gambling Commission’s public register lets you search businesses by name, account number or domain. Before you gamble, the Commission advises checking that the business is licensed; the register also shows which activities it may offer and whether regulatory action has been taken. Our checker uses the register’s downloadable files, read on 18 October 2026.

Three warning signs

The domain is not on the register, even if the brand name looks familiar. The site does not say which company holds its licence or gives no Gambling Commission account number. The site says it does not participate in GAMSTOP: every online operator licensed by the Commission must.
