Online casinos a US state has actually authorized

There is no single American licence. Online casino play is authorized state by state, and each regulator publishes its own list of sites. This page is those lists, put together, with the licence holder behind every domain.

Why there is no “US licence”

Nobody licenses online casinos for the whole country. A site is authorized — or not — in one state at a time, by that state’s regulator, and it is supposed to refuse play from outside it. So the honest question is never “is this casino legal in the US”, it is “is it on my state’s list”.

Where these names come from

New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement publishes the authorized internet gaming sites and says plainly that any site not on the list is not approved to offer internet gaming in the state. Pennsylvania’s Gaming Control Board publishes a master list of interactive gaming certificate holders, the operator running each platform for them and the date operations started. Michigan’s Gaming Control Board lists every authorized platform next to the tribe or Detroit casino that holds the licence. All three were read on September 17, 2026.

Why the licence holder is a tribe so often

In Michigan most online casinos run under a federally recognised tribe’s licence — Bay Mills Indian Community behind DraftKings, the Pokagon Band behind Four Winds, Gun Lake Tribe behind BetPARX. The brand you see is the platform; the licence belongs to the tribe or the Detroit casino, and that is who a regulator holds responsible. Every profile names both.

What is not here yet

West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island also authorize online casino play. West Virginia publishes its licence holders but not their websites, and the other three have not been read from the regulator’s own page. Until they are, no site from those states is listed. Saying nothing beats guessing.
